Okay time for some discussion. I thought this article in the NY times today was pretty interesting. It talks about the governor of Alabama and what he's trying to do for tax reform in that state. Pretty progressive!
Note the Christian Coalition of Alabama hasn't taken a position on it yet.
Neat seeing how religion and politics play out. Do believers reject the world and spend all of their time and energy in Christian circles, forming strictly Chrsitain counter-cultures? or do believers assimilate world culture, following the liberal-progressive movement? Do believers try to make the government explicitly Christian, basing law explicitly on Biblical principles? Or just change culture through evangelizing individuals one at a time (if enough people become christian, society will change on its own)?
